Welcome to the Darwin Fringe Festival 2009.
The Festival this year is known as Fringe at the Bank and is being held at Darwin's historic landmark, the old Commonwealth Bank on the corner of Smith and Bennett Streets, in the heart of the city.
WHEN: 4 - 9 pm WEDNESDAY 12 - SATURDAY 15 AUGUST
4 - 9 pm WEDNESDAY 19 - SATURDAY 22 AUGUST
For two weeks, an exciting hothouse of arts experimentation, performance and workshops will be created. With an emphasis on collaboration, thriving and interactive art from a diverse range of art organizations, in unexpected and suggestive spaces, will inspire and tempt you to become involved.
Thrown into the mix will be 'provocateurs' who will be drawn from the pool of Festival artists from all over Australia, and they will provoke, fuel and entice the locals. Expect the unexpected.
So, come on in, meet the artists, follow their work, become involved or join a workshop. There's something for everyone.
It's all FREE, ever-changing and an incubator for new skills, new experiences, new connections and new creations.
See you there!
